Knitting Cat, Fuji Press Kogyo / Nomura, Japan.
Original vintage plush covered “Knitting Cat” novelty toy from the 1960’s. The toy is not marked but the box is, with the Nomura trade mark, and also “Made in Japan”. The box is also marked with a Rosko Steele (an importer) sticker, under which, should you remove it, will be the Fuji trade mark.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.
Action:- The cat performs a knitting motion with its ‘paws’.
Size:- 6.00 inches tall approx.
Condition:- In very good condition, Working order. The tin plate base is pristine, the glasses are a little tarnished.The box is complete and in good condition. There is a little creasing on the lid. Please refer to photographs. n.b. the plush is a little more cream in colour than it appears in the picture but it is very clean.
