Jockey Rider, Kokyu, Japan.
Original vintage tin plate “Jockey Rider” novelty toy from the 1960’s. In original box marked with the Kokyu trade mark (K in five petal flower motif) and “Made in Japan”. All tin plate except for blanket, tail and reigns.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor with integral key.
Action:- When wound the toy jumps about erratically
Size:- 0.00 inches approx.
Condition:- In good condition but with some general light marking to the tin plate. I think this may have originated in the factory during production as other parts of the toy are very fresh i.e. the blanket. In addition the tail and reigns are still in place. These are the sort of feature that would soon be lost if the toy was played with. Please refer to photographs.
