Snappy Dog, Alps, Japan.
Original vintage tin plate “Snappy Dog” toy from the 1950’s / 1960’s. Box marked with the Alps trade mark and “Made in Japan”.
Mechanism:- Clockwork / Wind-Up motor. Integral Key.
Action:- Runs along with legs moving. Head turns rapidly from side to side causing the ears to flap out. Also makes a loud clicking noise ‘bark’.
Size:- 6.00 inches long approx.
Condition:- The toy is in very good condition. Working order! The upper surfaces are pretty much perfect but there is some light wear to the lower surfaces showing that it has been played with. The box is in reasonably good condition but as you can see from the pictures the toy never did fit well. Please refer to photographs.
